How to setup email on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Android)

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps > Settings > Application settings > Email > Manage accounts > Add +
  2. Enter your Email address and Password and touch Next.
  3. Select the type of email account you are setting up.  You may choose from POP3 account or IMAP account.
  4. Enter your Incoming server settings.  This includes your User name (ie. your email address), Password, Server (POP or IMAP), Security type, Port number, and Delete email from server setting.

POP3

    1. Use email.teamsideline.net for the POP3 server.
    2. Security type = SSL
    3. Port = 995.

Note: Your Username must match your email address. If you receive an "Authentication failed" message, please double check your Username.

IMAP

  1. Use email.teamsideline.net for the IMAP server.
  2. Security type = SSL
  3. Port = 993.

Note: Your Username must match your email address. If you receive an "Authentication failed" message, please double check your Username.

  • Your device will attempt to connect to the outgoing server with the settings you have entered. If unsuccessful, you will receive an error message; confirm your settings and try again. If the connection is successful, you will be taken to the Outgoing Server Settings screen. 
  1. Use email.teamsideline.net for the outgoing server also.
  2. Security Type = SSL
  3. Port = 465
  • Touch Next when you have finished making your selections.
  • On the Account Options screen select your Sync Schedule. Touch Next when you have finished making your selections.
  • You will be prompted to name the email account. Select a unique on-screen name. The unique account name is used to differentiate this account from other email accounts on your mobile device. Enter Your name as you would like it to be displayed on outgoing messages. Touch Done to complete the setup process.
